Gentle lake care with a Truxor
The lake is an important part of Eagle World. From the stands, guests look out over the water, the dune and heath landscape — and this is where birds of prey and horses are presented outdoors. To keep open water surfaces without wearing down the soft banks, we are currently having aquatic weed cutting carried out with a Truxor by Jysk Entreprenør Naturskaber: a Swedish amphibious machine that works both on land and in water.
We chose it because it is a gentle way to do the job — and effective at the same time. Consideration is also given to birds and fish. While the work is underway, the area is closed because several renovations are in progress. We expect to repeat the lake care about every two to three years.
In the video below you can see the machine at work in the middle of our autumn landscape.

Truxor is used among other places in nature reserves and other sensitive areas, precisely because it can reach where ordinary machines either cannot — or would cause too much damage.
How it works in the lake
The work typically follows two steps:
- Cutting — the cutting tool clips vegetation above and below the water, so there is room again for open surfaces.
- Collection — rakes or collectors gather the cut material, which is taken away from the lake.
The work is carried out by Jysk Entreprenør Naturskaber from Brovst, with whom we have agreed the job.
The machine can drive from land out into the lake without a quay or boat ramp. That suits our soft lake edges. During the work, consideration is given to birds and fish, and the area is closed to guests while other renovations are also underway nearby.
Why a Truxor here?
Eagle World is a wild natural area with lake, dunes and heath. The lake banks are soft, the surroundings are vulnerable, and guests normally move close by. We need open water for the experience — without destroying the autumn landscape or leaving wear tracks along the bank.
We chose Truxor because it is a gentle method that is also effective. It combines access from land to water, low ground pressure, mechanical cutting without chemicals and the ability to remove the cuttings — with consideration for birds and fish. It is designed for nature care that needs to be careful — not for “cleaning” a lake harshly.
We expect to repeat the aquatic weed cutting about every two to three years.
In short
Aquatic weed cutting with a Truxor is a gentle and effective way to keep the lake open: cut, collect, remove — without chemicals and without tearing up the banks, and with consideration for birds and fish. The video shows the machine at work in the middle of Eagle World's autumn.
