Today's Flight Weather – the wind over Eagleworld as living art
The weather decides how active the raptors are. On sunny days warm air rises as thermals and carries eagles and condors upwards almost without a wingbeat. A steady wind of 5–8 metres per second helps a falcon hang still in the air and an eagle soar. In heavy rain and storms the birds take shelter and save their energy until the weather improves.
In »Today's Flight Weather« the weather over Eagleworld right now becomes a living artwork. Feathers fly across the heath with the real wind direction and wind speed. The sky follows the time of day and the clouds, and rain, fog and the night sky appear when they are there.
